As part of the dramatic expansion of UAMS, the six-story Psychiatric Research Institute consolidates psychiatric care in Pulaski County into one facility that pulls research, patient care and education faculty under one roof. The design makes extensive use of glass and transparency in its aesthetic to break the “institutional” stigma often associated with mental healthcare facilities.
