Designed in collaboration with BIG, the new STEM-focused university in Bentonville establishes a world-class learning institution that seamlessly connects higher education with community life. Located on the former Walmart Home Office campus, the university is organized around a series of public plazas and green spaces that link three distinct buildings: a makerspace dedicated to innovation and experimentation, an academic building that fosters interdisciplinary learning, and a student residence hall centered around vibrant outdoor courtyards. Inspired by the landscapes and architectural traditions of the Ozarks, the campus extends downtown Bentonville while creating opportunities for collaboration, discovery, and engagement. Scheduled to welcome its first class in 2029, the university is designed to cultivate the next generation of innovators while strengthening Northwest Arkansas as a center for education, entrepreneurship, and creativity.
