Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects is leading the design of the Central Arkansas Library System’s Main Library Renovation along with WER Architects and Stocks-Mann Architects, the same architectural team for the original 1996 project. The reinvention of The Main Library will create a more open and inviting experience for patrons, while improving connectivity to Library Square, reorganizing the first floor for more engaging public functions, expanding programming opportunities outside, including a rooftop outdoor space, and a clearer public circulation through the building. Feedback from the community was critical in the transformation of the library into a new, more vibrant “Living Room of Little Rock”.
