Evermore Resort: The Landing

Orlando, FL

The Landing is Evermore Resort’s primary food and beverage venue, located just south of The Boathouse. The 31,000 SF two-story building contains multiple amenities, including Food Hall, Market, Fitness Center, Guest Services and signature restaurant, Twin View.

During the design phase, the owner needed to increase the building’s program, but existing site development constraints had to be maintained. The design team accepted the challenge and through the architecture, created a series of stepped building forms with single sloped roofs over wood screened curtainwalls to stay within the sites triangular constraints and satisfy program requirements. Like The Boathouse, the structure is intentionally expressed throughout the interior to create the volume and atmosphere the owner desired. The Food Hall’s interior palette is reduced to the essential steel, concrete and glass, using furniture, lighting and food venue signage for accents of color and warmth. A 30’ deep outdoor covered porch spans the north façade of the Food Hall, which faces the public beach area and makes for the perfect place to get some relief from the intense Florida sun.
