Position Description: Accounting Assistant
Location: PSW’s Downtown Little Rock, Arkansas Office
Basic Function: The Accounting Assistant is accountable for providing Accounting and Office Administrative support to the Controller as it relates to accounts payables, health insurance benefits and other administrative needs within an architectural firm. This position will also oversee the flow of visitors to the office, answers phones and direct calls along with supplying information regarding the firm’s projects to clients and business associates when the receptionist is unable to perform these duties.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the Controller
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of credit card accounts
• Enter general accounts payable (AP) and payables related to projects and online office accounts
• Assemble AP information for external CPA for annual tax information
• Assisting with document retention, including scanning and the organization of physical and electronic documents
• Review and Approve Timesheets and expense reports
• Keep Track of Continuing Education ins and outs and provide annual reports toController
• Assist Controller on teaching new hires our software system
• Field general questions from staff related to benefits
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Bookkeeping duties for non profits: Studio Main and ADN
Minimum requirements:
• High School diploma generally required
• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Working Conditions: Professional office environment with slight flexibility of work hours. Reports directly to Controller.
Pay: Commensurate with experience
