Reese Rowland, architect and principal at Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects of Little Rock, has been named a fellow of the American Institute of Architects, awarded to fewer than 4 percent of AIA members. He was one of 36 architects selected in the design category. The fellowship program honors architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and their communities.

Rowland’s dedication to crafting meaningful spaces through innovative, sustainable design has been rewarded with more than 60 national, regional and state awards in the past twelve years. His Heifer International World Headquarters design received the nation’s highest honor for architecture, the 2008 AIA National Institute Honor Award. In 2009, Arkansas Business named Reese to its prestigious list of “25 Entrepreneurs & Innovators of the Last 25 years.” Since joining the firm he has designed some of Little Rock’s most recognized buildings, including Acxiom’s River Market Tower, the Arkansas Studies Institute, Heifer’s Education Center, Bank of the Ozarks’ Headquarters and the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. His reputation among clients is that of a strong collaborator and a partner in distilling their vision into physical, yet personal narratives. Reese Rowland is a 1984 graduate of Paris High School and has a degree in architecture from the University of Arkansas.
