The first class of students begin orientation this week at the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine. Boldly reshaping medical education with a whole-person approach to care, the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine integrates conventional medicine with holistic principles and self-care practices. Founded in 2021, the school offers a four-year medical degree in a campus designed to blend with the surrounding Ozark landscape and the nearby Crystal Bridges forest. The four-level building includes modern learning spaces, wellness areas, and community-accessible features like trails and gathering spaces. The site, designed by OSD, promotes ecological stewardship and community connection, featuring gardens, wetlands, outdoor classrooms, and a rooftop park.
