Clinton Presidential Center Set for Major Expansion

Posted August 09, 2023

The Clinton Foundation today announced plans for a major expansion of the Clinton Presidential Center. The project will be designed by national firm Studio Gang alongside Arkansas-based firm Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects.

The proposed expansion will help the Clinton Center fulfill its mission to engage and educate people about President Bill Clinton’s lifetime commitment to advancing opportunity for everybody, instilling responsibility throughout our society, and cultivating a shared sense of community. The project will enhance the Clinton Center’s ability to host exhibitions, convene global leaders, and provide educational opportunities. The expansion will also include the new Hillary Rodham Clinton Institute that will hold her personal archives and papers, and serve as a hub for her nonprofit and advocacy work.

The Clinton Center expects to unveil more details of the expansion in 2024.

The Clinton Center’s buildings, originally designed by the Polshek Partnership (Ennead Architects) with local efforts by Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects, were among the first LEED-certified buildings in Arkansas. The Library and Museum Building is now platinum-certified and the Choctaw Building is gold-certified. The expansion will build on this record of sustainable design and construction practices.
