Verizon Arena (Alltel Arena)

North Little Rock, AR

With continued growth in the metropolitan area of Little Rock and North Little Rock came the need for a modern civic facility.

This new arena allows the community to enjoy such diverse entertainment as concerts, ice shows, basketball, rodeos, hockey, the circus and much more.  The arena has 18,000 seats, state of the art lighting and sound systems as well as locker and dressing rooms.  The lower level of the arena also has meeting and conference rooms, a complete commissary kitchen, and staging areas for large events.  This facility was completed in 1999 at a cost of 78 million dollars, most of which was provided by a citizen sponsored one cent sales tax for one year.
