JRMC PATIENT WING ADDITION + LDRP ADDITION AND RENOVATION

The two-story patient wing addition of the Johnson Regional Medical Center is a 40-bed MEDSURG patient unit featuring private rooms with luxury patient bathrooms. A unique floor plan design allows day-lighting and views from the interior to the outdoor environment. Durable, maintenance friendly materials were used that are budget friendly yet attractive. The interiors were inspired by the community, scenic rural environment and local festivals.  Colors reminiscent of denim, peaches, lakes and trees accented natural wood, folk-art patterns, and views to the mountains create a comfortable and familiar healing environment for patients.

The new patient floor is directly accessible from the existing main level lobby entrance. The lower level of the addition features a pharmacy, lab, storage, mechanical suite, and shell spaces for future growth. The project also included an addition to and renovation of the existing LDRP unit, which is connected to the new addition by a common public corridor.
