When Polk Stanley Wilcox was called upon to develop a new, critical access hospital on an undeveloped site in Cleburne County, the firm answered the call by nestling a three-story facility into the sloping hillside. The center provides grade-level entrances on two floors. All patient rooms occupy the top level, featuring spectacular valley views. Diagnostic and treatment areas are located centrally to maximize efficiency of hospital staff, while staff support areas share the lower level with dining services.
